Online Presence
My primary online platform is Twitter/X (@swarajb), where I grew from a dormant account to approximately 1,932 followers. I also create content on YouTube and have published templates on Vercel’s marketplace.
Early history
The account was created on August 2, 2015, but remained dormant until 2022. Active tweeting began on August 4, 2022, during my time running Gesturs. I wrote: “Since yesterday, I have decided on something which is 4/8/2022. So I will post a Twitter thread regularly and continuously keep connecting with people.”
Content evolution
My early content in 2022 consisted of business advice, productivity tips, book summaries, and motivational threads. Around 2023, I pivoted to developer-focused content: build-in-public updates, tech opinions, and project announcements.
Growth
I hit 1,000 followers in July 2024 and reached approximately 1,932 followers by April 2026.
Notable tweets
Several tweets received outsized engagement:
- subscription-tracker announcement: 267 likes
- “Developers let’s connect” ASCII art post: 292 likes
- shadcn search highlight: 93 likes
- T3 stack opinion: 87 likes
- Photo with Vitalik Buterin in Zanzibar: 76 likes

Consistency
I have acknowledged difficulty maintaining a regular posting cadence. I wrote: “Every time I think of building and learning in public I do it for few days and run out of ideas.”
Views on social media
I have described Twitter as “really fun” but expressed annoyance at fake followers. I dislike what I perceive as inauthenticity on LinkedIn.
YouTube
I hired a friend to edit my YouTube videos. I tweeted: “Everyone was creating videos, so I hired a friend to edit my videos so I could keep posting regularly, and he really cooked” (50 likes).
Vercel
My first Vercel template was approved in June 2025. I wrote: “First Vercel template approved today. I built this in a weekend.”
Writing
I published two X articles: one about the ABCDE method (a cognitive behavioral therapy technique) and one about CacheZero.
Open source
I built and open-sourced a Notion-powered blog template, which received 22 likes on the announcement tweet.
