Gesturs was a web development agency I operated in 2022, during my freelancing phase while I was still in college. It represents my earliest known professional venture before I pivoted toward product development and the web3 ecosystem.
Operations
Gesturs offered web development services as a development agency. I was actively hiring during this period, tweeting about looking for someone to create regular backlinks for the agency (May 2022). The agency had its own website. A later tweet in June 2024 may indicate a brief revival attempt: “Ready to witness the next big thing in development? We’re not just another agency, we’re your secret weapon.”
Twitter presence during this era
My Twitter content during the Gesturs period was characterized by business and marketing-oriented posts: productivity tips, networking advice, and freelancing insights. I drew heavily from business books such as 48 Laws of Power and How to Win Friends and Influence People, and from influencers including Varun Mayya, Sorav Jain, and warikoo.
Pivot away from agency work
The transition from agency work toward building my own products happened gradually through 2023. I have looked back on this period with some humor, recognizing it as a growth phase before I found my direction in product development. The shift led first to aperturs, my social media management tool, and eventually to roles at viaprize and legion.
