I’m Swaraj. 22. Full-stack dev from India. I work at Legion building DeFi products, and I’m making The Morning Page on the side — an AI journaling app I call “cursor for journaling.”

I never built a plain HTML website in my life. Went straight to React, taught myself everything from Twitter and breaking things, graduated with a CS degree I barely attended, and somehow ended up traveling the world building software at hackathons and pop-up cities.

“I didn’t start coding because I loved it. I started because I was broke and wanted money. But then… I actually fell in love with the grind.”

How I Got Here

2022 was my freelancing era. I ran a small web dev agency called Gesturs and tweeted about business, marketing, and productivity. Read a lot of self-help books. Networked like crazy on Twitter.

2023 was the pivot. I stopped freelancing and started building products. Launched Aperturs, a social media automation tool. Joined Viaprize, a web3 bounty platform run by my friend Noah Chon Lee. Traveled to Thailand, attended Indian Blockchain Week in Bangalore. The world opened up.

2024 was the growth year. My subscription tracker went viral on Twitter (267 likes, 150+ users in 2 days). I joined Legion as a full-time dev. Went to Zanzibar and met Vitalik Buterin. Attended Devcon in Bangkok. Won $2K at a hackathon. Hit 1,000 followers.

2025 was about shipping and graduating. Built Memoize and Delulu Social. Finally finished college. Hit my 1-year at Legion. Ran my first 5K. Started making YouTube videos.

2026 so far: built CacheZero (inspired by Karpathy), got my first Vercel template approved, and kept shipping.

I’ve been a bit of a nomad developer. Thailand twice (Mu Accelerator, Muay Thai, Edge City), Zanzibar (jungle paradise, met Vitalik), Bali (smoothest airport ever), Bangalore (Blockchain Week, ETH India), Bangkok (Devcon), and more.

Won $3,500totalin[[wiki/places/hackathons|hackathonprizes]]:$2K at Edge City building on Worldcoin, $1.5K at ETH Global building PayAny.link.

Missed a flight by 10 minutes once. Cost $600 for 3 people. Never again.

How I Think About Tech

My stack is the T3 stack: Next.js, tRPC, Tailwind, TypeScript. I moved from Prisma to Drizzle ORM (painful, worth it). Build mobile apps with Expo. Use Cloudflare Workers even though the DX makes me want to scream.

On AI coding: I use Claude and Cursor daily, but I still write code with my own hands. If I don’t understand every line, my brain goes “brrrrrr.” Claude >> GPT for coding, and that’s not even close.

What I Believe

Ship fast, steer later. Momentum beats perfection. I published 10 versions of CacheZero in 3 hours. Start messy.

Building is easy, marketing is hard. I can build anything. Getting users? That’s the part that almost made me give up. Distribution matters more than product.

Indian work culture needs to change. Brain drain isn’t about people wanting to leave. It’s about companies treating employees like garbage. I’d rather be jobless than work for a typical Indian company.

Learning faster > knowing more. I repeated this four times in one tweet because I meant it.

Life Outside Code

I work from my bed with my laptop. That’s not a joke, that’s my setup. Nap breaks are a feature. Upgraded from M1 Pro to M4 Pro 48GB in October 2025 and it changed everything.

I track my health with a WHOOP band, go to the gym 3x a week, and ran my first 5K in June 2025. Trying to train for a half-marathon. Started learning guitar (can’t feel my fingers). See fitness.

RCB cricket fan. Celebrated when they made the IPL finals. Watch anime until I run out (which happened). Play Clash of Clans and got emotionally destroyed by The Last of Us. See gaming-and-anime.

College is done. CS degree from an Indian college, graduated May 2025. Missed 90% of classes one semester because I was too busy building things. No regrets.
